One of the Harris County District Attorney’s top prosecutors filed his two-weeks notice Friday and went on to rebuke the agency’s leadership hours later.

“ in the trenches fighting every day — they don't feel like they have the support of the administration,” Teare told the Chronicle separately. “When that fear and uncertainty is present from the leadership, it leads to indecisiveness and quite frankly, backlogs in the docket.” "Sean Teare has been with our office for six years, and we certainly wish him the best in his future endeavors," spokesman Joe Stinebaker said.
Jed Silverman, head of the Harris County Criminal Lawyers Association, anticipates political aspirations from Teare but notes that woes await anyone who leads the district attorney's office.
