President Donald Trump on Monday once again lashed out at a group of four high-profile progressive congresswomen, demanding an apology from them for their "horrible & disgusting actions" one day after his racist criticism of the quartet set off his administration's latest firestorm.
The posts represent the president’s latest broadside against Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez , Ilhan Omar , Ayanna Pressley and Rashida Tlaib , the women of color whom Trump suggested on Sunday should "go back and help fix the totally broken and crime infested places from which they came." Ocasio-Cortez was born in the Bronx borough of New York City, Pressley was born in Cincinnati and Tlaib was born in Detroit. Omar, a Somalian refugee, immigrated to the U.S. with her family in the early 1990s, and became a citizen in 2000 when she was 17 years old.
Chao and Secretary of Housing and Urban Development Ben Carson are the only two people of color in Trump's cabinet.
