NEW: Trump doubles down on baseless conspiracy linking Bill Clinton to Epstein’s death
“I have no idea,” Trump told reporters when asked if he really thought the Clintons were involved in Epstein’s death.
“I’ve known Jeff for fifteen years. Terrific guy,” said Trump in a 2002 New York magazine profile of Epstein. “He’s a lot of fun to be with. It is even said that he likes beautiful women as much as I do, and many of them are on the younger side. No doubt about it — Jeffrey enjoys his social life.” Clinton’s press secretary Angel Urena dismissed Trump’s retweet on Saturday, saying, “Ridiculous, and of course not true — and Donald Trump knows it. Has he triggered the 25th Amendment yet?”
