President Trump praised Attorney General William Barr for “taking charge” of case against Roger Stone, weighing in on a controversy that started when the Justice Department reversed itself and moved to recommend less prison time for the president’s longtime confidant.

“Congratulations to Attorney General Bill Barr for taking charge of a case that was totally out of control and perhaps should not have even been brought,” Mr. Trump said in a tweet Wednesday morning.
