Former Pres. Trump repeatedly pushed GOP Rep. Mo Brooks of Alabama to 'rescind' the 2020 election results, 'remove' Pres. Biden from office and redo the last presidential election in several conversations last year, Brooks told ABC News.

Trump spent his last days in office seeking ways to challenge the outcome of the election, culminating in a riot at the Capitol and an unprecedented second impeachment.Former President Donald Trump repeatedly pushed GOP Rep. Mo Brooks of Alabama to"rescind" the 2020 election results,"remove" President Joe Biden from office and redo the last presidential election in several conversations last year, Brooks told ABC News on Wednesday.

In his statement, Trump called Brooks"woke" and criticized him for suggesting Republicans move on from the 2020 presidential election. Brooks, who was one of Trump's staunchest conservative allies in the House and proponent of his unfounded claims of widespread election fraud, told ABC News that Trump"did not give me a heads up" about withdrawing his endorsement in the Senate primary, where he has lost ground to Katie Britt, a former senior aide to retiring Sen. Richard Shelby, R-Alabama.
