It should come as no surprise that consumers of Inspector General Michael Horowitz's long-awaited report related to the origins of the FBI's"Crossfire Hurricane" investigation into Russian election-meddling see exactly what they anticipated. One side is fixated on the bottom-line conclusion that personal political biases of some assigned FBI personnel had no impact on investigative decisions, and that the case was properly predicated. The opposing side adamantly points out that the IG uncovered"serious performance failures" within the FBI.What this all means is that we will be subjected to a cacophony of partisan debate for the foreseeable future -- at least through the 2020 election.
