Trump said he’s planning to nominate Christopher Waller and Judy Shelton to serve on the Federal Reserve Board.
President Trump announces Jerome Powell as his nominee for the next chair of the Federal Reserve in 2017. Trump has repeatedly blasted Powell over the Fed’s interest rate increases.
Shelton, who has been an informal advisor to Trump, is the U.S. executive director for the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. Powell said that he intends to serve his full four-year term and that “the law is clear” on that issue.
