Eugene Scalia will likely take the place of Alexander Acosta, who resigned last week.
Scalia was a top lawyer for the Labor Department under George W. Bush. He is currently a partner in the Washington office of the law firm Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher.
Most notably, he is known for representing Bush at the Supreme Court in the Bush v. Gore case during the Florida recount controversy, according to"Gene has led a life of great success in the legal and labor field and is highly respected not only as a lawyer, but as a lawyer with great experience.....working with labor and everyone else," Trump tweeted.
