Sylvester Stallone acts alongside daughter Scarlet Stallone in a new image from Tulsa King. Stallone is a movie legend thanks to classic characters like Rocky Balboa and John Rambo. Now he’ll take his skills to the small screen, playing an exiled mobster in Taylor Sheridan’s newest Paramount+ series Tulsa King.
There was a time of course when the thought of someone like Stallone playing a role in a scripted TV series was unimaginable. But times have definitely changed, and now it’s not uncommon at all to see major movie stars make the leap to TV and streaming. Tulsa King creator Sheridan indeed seems to have a particular knack for convincing big name movie talent to take the small screen plunge, luring everyone from Kevin Costner to Harrison Ford to his stable of Paramount+ shows.

Details about her Tulsa King character are unknown, but she appears to be playing a server in what may very well be little more than a cameo.
Manfredi indeed is an intriguing character for Stallone to tackle in his scripted TV lead acting debut. According to the Tulsa King synopsis, he’s a New York Mafia capo who just got out of prison after 25 years and has been banished to the hinterlands of Oklahoma to start up a new criminal enterprise there. That interestingly enough makes Manfredi something of an underdog, and Stallone of course knows all about playing underdogs.
