Turkish Consulate vandalized in Midtown, about 10 windows smashed: NYPD
Authorities received a 911 call at around 3:15 a.m. alerting them that a man was smashing the windows of the consulate, located at 821 1st Avenue, near the United Nations. When police arrived, the suspect had fled the scene, according to the NYPD.

The street remained cordoned-off until the late morning as staff knocked out the remaining shards and swept them off the sidewalk.
