Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, had a tweet pulled down that compared being called antisemitic to the N-word.
The rapper tweeted a screenshot on Friday of an account claiming that being called antisemitic means the N-word. The tweet was quickly reported and removed by Twitter. The removal comes a week after West's account was restored following a ban over antisemitic remarks and occurred after Elon Musk took over the platform.West has been the focus of controversy after he made multiple remarks about the Jewish people in early October.
West has apologized for the harm his remarks have caused but has maintained that he"absolutely" does not regret making them. West's remarks led several companies to end their deals with the rapper, including Balenciaga and Adidas. Other companies have continued to feature West's content, including Netflix and Spotify.West isn't the only African American celebrity to get banned for antisemitism in recent weeks. The Brooklyn Nets suspended guard Kyrie Irving for at least five games after he posted a link to a movie that he later acknowledged in an apology contained"false, antisemitic statements.
