Some folks are not happy with animals being on display at an award show.
anticipating anyone showing up looking like Britney Spears circa 2001 in her "I'm a Slave 4 U" music video. And yet, that's exactly what happened.We have YouTube personality Tana Mongeau and singer-songwriter H.E.R. to thank for this unforgettable red carpet memory. Both celebs wore snakes wrapped around themselves fearlessly, as well as sunglasses, but that's about where the similarities ended.
For instance, Mongeau sported a multi-colored gold mini dress with matching thigh-high boots and gloves, while H.E.R wore a dark green jumpsuit adorned with a vibrant floral pattern on the front. And while they both wore sunnies, they were of totally different styles — Mongeau's triangular and pink and H.E.R's circular and classic black.
Sadly, we don't know much about Mongeau's snake, but it seems that some of her fans aren't thrilled with her decision to bring an animal to an award show. "I’m disappointed in [Mongeau] and her decision to bring a snake with her to #VMA. Animals aren’t props or costume pieces. It’s crowded, bright, and noisy," tweeted one viewer. "Protect the snake," another added.
