Two women were shot Saturday night as they were driving in East Oakland, authorities said.
The women were in a car driving westbound in the 9000 block of Edes Avenue about 9:55 p.m. Saturday when they were shot at by at least one occupant of another car, police said.
The women were able to drive a short distance to the 9100 block of Date Street where their car crashed. The two wounded women, a 35-year-old Castro Valley resident and a 34-year-old Oakland resident, were taken to a hospital where they were in stable condition, authorities said.The vehicle the suspects were believed to have been in was recovered in the area but the occupants fled before police got to the scene.Police and Crime Stoppers of Oakland are offering up to $10,000 in reward money for information leading to the arrest of the suspects.
