It remains to be seen how soon Gonsolin can get back in games or how much he can build up his pitch count before the postseason.“To expect him to be built up like he was before he went down is very unrealistic. So then the point is when we get further down the road, what do we have? So the number one thing is get him healthy, get him strong and kind of see where we’re at with that.”
Almonte has been out since August 3 with an elbow injury and received a platelet-rich plasma injection to treat the problem.
