Your UCLA Bruins' next opponent seems aggravated by their lack of perceived national respect, even when its imagined.

Last week, Washington State University Cougars head coach Jake Dickert objected to a quote from 88-year-old ESPN College GameDay broadcaster Lee Corso. Per, Dickert complained that Corso called last week's matchup between Oregon State and Washington state"The No One's Watching Bowl," when in fact he called it"The Nobody Wants Us Bowl," a far more respectful moniker.

“I think nationally, there’s a lot of noise out there,” Dickert reflected following the 38-35 Cougars victory last Saturday. “I caught something this morning, I was watching, and Corso comes on and he says ‘The No One Watches Bowl.’ And I don’t really understand that. What’s the merit, once again? Because the facts say people watch the Cougs and the people watch the Cougs more than every team that’s left over in the Big 12.

Your 3-1 Bruins are currently a slight favorite to defeat the 4-0 Cougars when they face off next Saturday at the Rose Bowl, in a noon matinee.Copyright ABG-SI LLC. SPORTS ILLUSTRATED is a registered trademark of ABG-SI LLC. All Rights Reserved.
