UCLA football faces nine opponents on its Pac-12 schedule, but there’s one invisible adversary always lurking: injury.
It’s unclear whether the usual running back corps will bounce back this weekend against Arizona. Charbonnet practiced this week with tape on his left lower bicep and left calf and Kelly said he’s “coming along.” Keegan Jones also appeared to practice as usual on Wednesday and DeShun Murrell practiced, but with a heavily-taped left hand.
UCLA is doing what it can to get the most out of the position as the season wears on. They’ve gotten longevity at running back through a variety of players as well as individual player management.
