UK PM Boris Johnson extends suspension of parliament until October 14, squeezing time for opposition to thwart no-deal Brexit
British Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced the suspension of parliament would be extended until October 14.
He said a central feature of the legislative programme will be the introduction of a bill to leave the EU and "to secure its passage before 31 October.""There will be ample time on both sides of that crucial October 17 summit, ample time in parliament for MPs to debate," Johnson said. A source in Johnson's Downing Street office insisted that only around four sitting days in the lower House of Commons would be lost as a result.
