The retailers revealed on Nov. 11 that they are joining forces to open Ulta Beauty shops inside 100 Target stores across the country in the second half of 2021. The partnership brings in prestige makeup, skin-care, hair-care and fragrance items into Target stores for the first time.When will Ulta Beauty at Target debut?
Ulta Beauty and Target will open its first 100 shop-in-shops in August 2021. The retailers expect to open up to 800 locations in the next few years.Ulta Beauty chief executive officer Mary Dillon revealed the shop-in-shops will offer a “curated assortment of established, indie and emerging brands” within prestige makeup, skin care, hair care and fragrance.
The retailers released the full list of over 50 brands on July 21 that will be offered at the shop-in-shops. The list includes brands like The Ordinary, MAC, Smashbox, Urban Decay, Tarte, Clinique, Tula, Bad Habit and others. The shops-in-shop will measure at roughly 1,000 square feet and will be located next to Target’s beauty sections.The retailers will open the first 100 locations in 21 states and regions: Arizona, California, Colorado, D.C., Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Massachusetts, Maryland, Minnesota, Missouri, North Carolina, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Texas, Virginia and Wisconsin.
