There are rumors of trouble brewing with Kodak chemistry. What does this mean for film photographers?

These developments at Sino piggyback the other elephant-in-the-room that I haven’t mentioned here yet;, Nico Llasera optimistically theorizes that Kodak Rochester may be attempting to take back their business from Kodak Alaris in order to get closer to direct-to-consumer sales and cut down on the bureaucracy.

Over the years, Kodak’s photochemical distribution has become progressively more complicated. We’ve long since switched over or started making our own chemistry.
Is the Kodak HC-110 shortage the canary in the coal mine? After nearly a month of extensive research, I still can’t say.
