Twitter has added the ability to 'leave' a conversation to its social media platform.
Twitter users can now"unmention" themselves from a thread so that conversations that initially mention them no longer appear in their mentions. This feature comes among a number of additional updates to the Twitter platform as the company deals with the economic and legal ramifications of Elon Musk's decision to withdraw from a deal to purchase the company.
"Take control of your mentions and leave a conversation with Unmentioning, now rolling out to everyone on all devices," Twitter's safety team said in a tweet. Sometimes you want to see yourself out.
