Taron Vincent is a key part of the Ohio State defensive line, not worried that his position doesn't record headline-grabbing stats.
Taron was a star from the time he began playing Pop Warner ball.
“I vividly remember him telling me, ‘One day when you get older, just know I’m coming back to recruit you,’ ” Taron said. “That's a tough injury to overcome,” Johnson said, “because that's your strength, that’s your leverage. To overcome that and work hard to get back as he has is all a tribute to him.”
“He was outstanding,” Johnson said. “He was all over the field, just like we thought we were going to get when he got here.” “I don't think anybody coming into college is like, ‘Yeah, I'm going to be here for five years,’ ” he said. “Everybody comes in with that three-and-out mindset, like, ‘I'm going to play my three years and go straight to NFL.’ But that’s not reality for all of us.”He accepts that without regret. Vincent earned his degree in sport industry earlier this year after being a multiyear OSU Scholar-Athlete. He’s savoring his role playing on a national championship contender.
