Update: Tom Hanks has learned his lesson about Vegemite.
Hanks’s latest Instagram update proves that he’s just like us; it seems a week of seclusion is getting to him, at least a little. “No fever but the blahs,” he wrote, announcing that he had toted a typewriter to Australia with him for no apparent reason, from a brand that is eerily apt:
In this dispatch, we also learned that Hanks and Wilson have been playing gin rummy to pass the time , and also that Hanks has taken Aussies’ advice on a very serious matter: the country’s favorite condiment, Vegemite. He’s “folding the laundry and doing the dishes,” which “leads to a nap on the couch.” I, for one, would pay good money to watch a livestream of Hanks just going about his daily life under quarantine.
