More than 7,500 pedestrians were killed while walking along or across a U.S. highway in 2022, marking the highest number of deaths in nearly 40 years.
Fox News correspondent Trey Yingst gives the latest update on the attack in Tel Aviv where a car rammed into pedestrians on ‘Special Report.’U.S. roadwaysThe Governors Highway Safety Administration , a nonprofit organization that represents state and territorial highway safety offices, projected that 7,508 pedestrians were killed in traffic crashes in 2022 – the highest since 1981 and a 1% increase from 2021.
The data revealed that 22 states reported an increase in pedestrian fatalities last year while 26 states and D.C. saw a decrease, the GHSA said. Rhode Island was the only state to report an unchanged number.
