The University of Utah gymnastics team was “devastated” over the weekend when star sophomore Grace McCallum suffered an injury during her vault routine. Now the team’s medical staff has an official diagnosis for the Olympian.

“Conservative measures are in place and we are all working hard for a safe and healthy return to play,” the staff said in a news release.a hyperextended knee typically takes “between a few weeks to a month” to fully recover.
