Police have arrested two teenagers in the Salt Lake City shooting death of a 23-year-old man on Friday.
The two 15-year-olds were arrested Saturday “without incident,” according to Salt Lake City police. Their names have not been released because of their age, but both are being held in jail on suspicion of murder, police said.at the intersection of 600 East and 200 South. When paramedics arrived, they discovered that the man — later identified as Rory Swimm — had been shot. He died at the scene.
According to an SLCPD news release, the department’s SWAT team, gang unit and violent criminal apprehension team executed “several” search warrants on Saturday before arresting the two teens and booking them into the Salt Lake County Juvenile Detention Center.
