Ending his tenure as the Roadrunners' all-time leading receiver, Zakhari Franklin announced Saturday that he will transfer from UTSA to Ole Miss.

Franklin’s decision to transfer was reported in late April, but he was silent on the situation until Friday, when he declared his intention to transfer on social media. He shared his new home the next day, writing, “I Reached Every Goal Had To Write Another List!” Franklin holds every major pass-catching record for UTSA and has led the Roadrunners in receiving the past two years.
A Cedar Hill product who joined the Roadrunners in 2019, Franklin broke his own school records in 2022 with 94 receptions for 1,136 yards and 15 touchdowns. He holds the longest active streak in the FBS with a catch in 46 straight games, hauling in 262 career receptions for 3,348 yards and 37 scores.
Ole Miss finished 2022 unranked after the Rebels dropped their final four games and five of their last six to close the season 8-5.
