UTSA bounced back with a win in the Conference USA championship game six days later, and Traylor is more focused on the Roadrunners’ quest to repeat than a search for revenge. Even with a pair of veteran inside linebackers in Jamal Ligon and Trevor Harmanson, Traylor said changing too much on defense risks confusing players.The Roadrunners’ ability to avoid defensive breakdowns against the run has improved each week, Traylor said.
Looking to bolster a unit that is without standout Brandon Matterson due to a season-ending injury, the Roadrunners this week slid outside linebacker Jimmori Robinson down to the D-line group.
