Uvalde School District Police Chief Pete Arrendondo was without a radio while he was in charge of the Robb Elementary School mass shooting response, a state senator said.
A Texas Department of Public Safety official told state Sen. Roland Gutierrez thatwas without a radio during the May 24 attack by a lone gunman that left 19 students and two teachers dead, Gutierrez told the Associated Press. Seventeen more people were injured.
