Versatile Tony Testa scores three touchdowns to power the Valencia offense.
VALENCIA – Home was sweet indeed for the Valencia football team, as the Vikings defeated the Castaic Coyotes 48-14 on Friday night at Valencia High School.
Valencia led just 7-0 at the end of the first quarter against an energized Castaic team that was coming off their first Foothill League win in school history last week – but the Vikings took over in the second quarter starting with a 20-yard touchdown pass from senior quarterback Jackson Askins to fellow senior Tony Testa, one of the latter’s three scores on the night.
A 4-yard rushing touchdown from Testa gave Valencia a 35-7 advantage at halftime, and head coach Larry Muir complemented the senior on his versatility postgame.
