The actress-turned-producer has filed paperwork with the US Patent and Trademark office to trademark “Selena Gomez.”
, the global cosmetic products market is expected to reach $1 trillion in 2024 making the prospect of a successful line even more enticing.
The next major celebrity beauty launch will come courtesy of Lady Gaga whose debut range — called Haus Laboratories — will launch on Amazon next month. The singer has opted for a digital-only approach choosing the e-tail giant as her key retail partner. The range has been available to pre-order for Prime customers for the past four weeks and the full range will be available for purchase and delivery next month.
Selena has made no comment on her business expansion plans as yet, however this will not be her first official foray into the beauty industry having launched an eponymous fragrance in 2011. Plus, the star is no stranger to designing with collaborations with Coach and Puma already under her belt. Stay tuned to FASHION for more updates as they become available.
