The service is intended to offer air travelers an alternative to parking at the airport during the busy summer months when parking lots fill up.
The airport express service takes passengers to and from the San Antonio International Airport and the VIA Stone Oak Park and Ride on U.S. Highway 281.aims to make it easier for air travel, according to a recent announcement from the public transit system. Success! You're on the list.
“The rapid increase in travel to and from our airport points to the need for more and better multimodal-friendly options,” stated Jeffrey Arndt, VIA president and CEO. “By providing overnight parking for our customers flying out of town, VIA continues to set the standard for customer service and mobility enhancements.”
That’s led to a parking crunch with both garages and surface lots reaching capacity several days a week since the first of June.
