SAN ANTONIO – It won’t be long before we see Victor Wembanyama dress out in the Spurs jersey for real, but fans received a little preview Saturday at the annual Silver and Black Scrimmage.Wembanyama got involved right from the opening tip, just missing the alley-oop from Tre Jones. You can’t really glean too much from Wembanyama’s game on Saturday night because, after all, it is just a glorified scrimmage.
Wembanyama was moving well, and he made a couple of buckets and some nice passes. The reception he got from the fans meant a lot. The Spurs will play in their first of five preseason games on Monday, up first is the Oklahoma City Thunder. Then, next Friday, the Spurs host the Miami Heat, then Houston for two games before closing out the preseason against the Golden State Warriors.
