Clear Creek ISD is staging a May 6 election that will include a race for District 2 between incumbent Arturo Sanchez and Peter Lauzon.Voters in Clear Creek ISD's District 3 will decide May 6 between two trustee candidates for that position., which includes Johnson Space Center and parts of Armand Bayou.Incumbent Michelle Davis is not seeking re-election.Incumbent Arturo Sanchez is seeking re-election to District 3 on the Clear Creek ISD baord of trustees.
“My interest in serving as a school board trustee is something I wanted to do for more than 20 years,” he said. “I deeply respect the women and men who have chosen careers in public education and believe they deserve trustees focused on service to ensure they have the support needed to help our students thrive.”Sanchez said state legislators need to provide enough resources for schools to stay step with rising inflation.
“It will require innovative approaches to scaling successful programs and continuously reviewing opportunities for budget savings,” he said.Sanchez said that if re-elected, he would continue to build on his experience in the post to support the district’s long-range planning.Peter LauzonLauzon, 60, is a small business owner and engineer in the petrochemical industry who has lived in the Clear Lake area for over 20 years.
