- Former Huddersfield Town manager David Wagner said he is ready to return to management and is eyeing the opportunity to take over the reins of a club in the Premier League or German Bundesliga.
Wagner, who guided Huddersfield into the top flight for the first time in 45 years and saved them from relegation last year, stepped down in January after winning just two games all season. Huddersfield were eventually relegated last weekend. “The Premier League is the most challenging league in terms of the quality of the clubs, the quality of the managers, the quality of the individuals.
Wagner said he would only take up a job which challenged him, one where the club was ready to trust him and his ideas rather than stick to a process they were familiar with.
