Warner Bros. Discovery Inc. said it will expand its Watford, England, film studios, a move expected to create 4,000 direct or indirect jobs and contribute an additional 200 million pounds to the U.K. economy.
The expanded studio will become the primary production hub for DC Studios, the unit behind the Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman films. Recent films and shows shot on the soundstages at Leavesden include megahit"Barbie"--which has grossed a worldwide total of $1.42 billion at the box office as of Wednesday--and HBO series"House of the Dragon".
