Warren calls for imprisonment of CEOs over company wrongdoing

Warren aims to step up jailing of CEOs for company wrongdoing: Massachusetts Democratic Sen. Elizabeth Warren on Wednesday rolled out a bill that would expand criminal liability to executives of big companies, as she also reintroduced a related measure targeting bank CEOs.

The RealClearPolitics average of Democratic presidential polls finds Warren a distant fifth, with former Vice President Joe Biden and Sen. Bernie Sanders each beating her by at least double digit percentage. Republicans are looking to use the 100-day milestone as an opportunity to portray Democrats as floundering in the majority.

Appropriations Democrats responded as follows on Twitter: “Mr. Secretary, government funding IS the business of the Appropriations Committee.”
