Stephen Curry and Kevon Looney received the green light from the team’s medical staff to play Friday in Atlanta after their availability was in balance.

ATLANTA — Stephen Curry and Kevon Looney received the green light from the team’s medical staff to play Friday in Atlanta.

Curry was listed as questionable with left thumb soreness and Looney has been dealing with a sore lower back in recent weeks. Both went through warm-ups without issue, paving the way for them to play.Golden State will be without Draymond Green, who’s serving a one-game suspension after picking up his 16th technical foul of the season Wednesday night in Los Angeles.

Coach Steve Kerr said it was a “pretty easy decision” to make Lamb playoff eligible given their need for additional wings who can guard multiple positions given Wiggins and Iguodala’s absences. That leaves two-way guard Ty Jerome as the odd man out. He can play three more NBA games under his current two-way deal and won’t be available for the playoffs.“We chose Lamb based on positional need, but both guys really deserve to be on the roster,” Kerr said.

In a corresponding move, the Warriors signed G League guard and Memphis standout Lester Quinones to a pro-rated two-way deal. He’s eligible to play in seven of the Warriors’ final 12 NBA games.
