Daniel, of Leesburg, was driving a Hummer that was reported stolen when he sped away from officers a day prior.
About 45 minutes into the chase, the sheriff's office said driver stopped and got out of the Hummer before trying to carjack a person. Footage shows the suspect, later identified as Daniel, run up to at least one other SUV and try to open the driver's side door before he's tackled by two deputies.The sheriff's office said Daniel had open warrants out of Loudoun County for two counts of possession of stolen property, possession of burglary tools, fleeing and eluding, driving without a license, and three counts of probation violation.
He was also charged with carjacking, robbery, hit-and-run, felony disregard police command to stop, driving without an operator’s license, and reckless driving.Authorities said the Hummer was reported stolen in Chantilly, on March 16. It had been repainted from green to black.
