The House Judiciary Committee will hold its first hearing on Wednesday morning that will seek to examine President Joe Biden's policies at the southern border.
The hearing,"Biden's Border Crisis — Part One," will look at the border and national security, as well as the influx of fentanyl that continues to pour into the United States.It will be led by Rep. Jim Jordan , the chairman of the committee, with witness statements from Cochise County Sheriff Mark Dannels, Cochise County Judge Dale Lynn Carruthers, and Brandon Dunn, a co-founder of the Forever 15 project.
Biden's handling of the southern border has been the subject of severe criticism from the GOP. Now that Republicans control the House, they are fulfilling their vow that they would investigate the president's performance and actions. “The Biden Administration’s deliberate actions are fueling human smuggling, stimulating drug cartel operations, enabling deadly drugs such as fentanyl to flow into American communities, and encouraging illegal immigrants to flout U.S. immigration laws,” Rep. James Comer said earlier this month. “Republicans will hold the Biden Administration accountable for this ongoing humanitarian, national security, and public health crisis that has turned every town into a border town.
