Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich predicted on Monday that Republicans will take majorities in both the House and Senate with the midterm elections.
The prediction from Gingrich comes as GOP candidates have improved in polling in various crucial House and Senate races.
In Wisconsin, incumbent Republican Ron Johnson has taken the lead in polls against challenger Democrat Mandela Barnes, while in Pennsylvania, Republican Mehmet Oz has majorly cut into Democrat John Fetterman's polling lead. The key issue for the GOP in both Senate races is crime, according to the former Republican speaker of the House.
