First up: a freshly made face mask that requires five minutes of preparation and four ingredients—avocado; pure, unsweetened acai; squished strawberries; and honey. “Us Brazilians love to have a tan,” she says as she mixes everything into a palm-size bowl, “but after the sun, your skin is tired, and you want to have a glow, so this is going to help a lot.” After massaging the chunky brown-tinted emollient evenly across her face and neck with her fingertips , Trentini moves onto her hair.
“When you do your groceries, just buy a little extra, for your beauty routine,” she advises as she shakes a bottle full of homemade sea salt spray, which contains sea salt and a dash of coconut oil mixed with warm water. Applying it only to the bottom half of her lengths, and careful not to let the coconut oil get too close to her roots, Trentini then divides her hair into two sections and twists each piece away from her face and into a small bun.
