House Democrats are facing an onslaught of departures with less than a year to go before the midterm elections.

DeFazio, who has held his seat for more than 30 years, played a key role in negotiating the major infrastructure package passed by Congress andin November, while Yarmuth, a member for 15 years, helped spearhead the Democrats' massive social spending package.
