OPINION: We are all experiencing loss from coronavirus. Let us push back with love.
All of us who have faced loss in life know the weight and sadness of grief, and have been through the process of walking our way through it. We are at a moment where everyone is facing some loss due to the, and we are all facing a collective loss. We must understand the grief we feel, whether it is the death or sickness of a cherished person, the loss of a job or the societal loss of a way of life that we had taken for granted just over a month ago.
The memory is seared into me washing our hands every time we spent time with our premie daughters, the care given by nurses and doctors around the clock and the constant state of the unknown of what would happen. I remember the bells and whistles of medical devices that became background noise, the constant state of alert and the pit in my stomach when the phone rang with an update.

Man’s Anxiety Not About To Let Depression Muscle In On TurfPHOENIX—Unwilling to cede decades of hard-won advances, local man Roger Cannon’s persistent anxiety vowed Monday that it would not let clinical depression muscle in on any of its turf. “Look, I’ve had a vise-grip on this guy for 30 years, so I’m not about to roll over now and let some despondent feelings and an overriding aversion to activity waltz in and take over his emotional state,” said the mental disorder, adding that it would “crank up” Cannon’s irrational worrying, restlessness, and agitation to drive depression out of its territory once and for all. “Roger’s mental condition is my domain.
