Fans cheered on the Mariners at watch parties that stretched well into the evening Saturday. Seattle's 1-0 loss to Houston was a disappointment, but fans were grateful for the chance to see the team play post season. FOX13
Jeremy Peña hit a solo home run off Penn Murfee in the top of the 18th inning as the Seattle Mariners fell 1-0 to the Houston Astros in a game tied for the longest in MLB postseason history.Throughout the six-hour game, fans were glued to their seats as day turned to night."The tension has been crazy. Everyone has just had a lot of emotions. We're just glued to the screen, ‘What’s up next? What’s going to happen?’," said Kailyn Baccetti, a Seattle Mariners fan.
"It's good energy. It’s electric, vibrant. It feels like back in '95. I love it," said Vanessa Aslanian. The fans held on through 18 innings.
