A cold front will move through the state on Tuesday, and it will bring some big changes to the forecast. Expect the following before, during and after the storm
Storm clouds in Sanpete County on Monday, Nov. 6, 2023. .Overcast skies will cover northern Utah while a few showers will make their way to the Idaho border. The wind will become breezy Monday afternoon. Temperatures will remain warm with highs running up to 10 degrees above normal for early November.Showers will increase across far northern Utah by Monday evening. This line of showers will slowly spread south into the Wasatch Front throughout the night.
Mountain valleys above 6500 feet will get anywhere from a dusting to two inches of snow. Roads through the mountains will be mostly wet with rain, but some road snow or slush is possible over some of the higher summits. Showers will taper off in northern Utah through Tuesday afternoon and evening as the cold front, along with the valley rain and mountain snow, slides south into central and southern Utah.
