Wes Gordon celebrated the completely revamped Madison Avenue Carolina Herrera store with a dinner party.
, Wes Gordon was at it again with another showcase—the completely revamped Madison Avenue Herrera store, which sits on the plum corner of 75th Street. “I’m so happy with the show this morning,” said the designer, sitting on a punchy orange-colored velvet chaise lounge on the second floor of the space, “and tonight is not my second wave; it’s like my 42nd!”
Indeed, he did not seem low in energy, but why would he be? The new space is something to behold. Color is present but doesn’t overwhelm, and the vibe is at once crisp and dainty . The building itself, constructed in 1925 by architect George F. Pelham, had not been touched by the label since it moved there in 2000.
