Tonight, six candidates will take to the DemDebate stage in Las Vegas. A new addition to the lineup: billionaire Michael Bloomberg. Here's everything you need to know:
Businessman and former New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg joins other Democratic presidential candidates on the debate stage for the first time Wednesday night. The other candidates debating in Las Vegas are former Vice President Joe Biden, former South Bend, Ind., Mayor Pete Buttigieg, and Sens. Amy Klobuchar, Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren. The debate will be televised by MSNBC and begins at 6 p.m. Pacific Standard Time.
That gives the five other candidates who made the stage a chance to take a swing at him before the Nevada caucuses Saturday and, more critically, ahead of Super Tuesday on March 3. Bloomberg, who made a late entry into the race, is counting on a strong showing on that day of coast-to-coast balloting after skipping the early contests, including Nevada. It will begin at 6 p.m. Pacific time and last two hours.
