The Music Box requires visitors to show vaccination cards or proof of a negative COVID-19 test. All of Music Box’s staff members have been vaccinated and are required to wear masks, Miller said.“We hope to create as safe an environment as we can,” Miller said.
When it comes to the events on Dec. 31, Miller is planning full steam ahead for the day, but is prepared to be flexible. Because all staff members will be required to take a COVID-19 test on Dec. 31, and because the Music Box will be closed up until that date, Miller hopes that few employees test positive on the big day and any people who test positive can be sent home right away. He’s also hopeful that all band members stay healthy leading up to New Year’s Eve, too.
A New Year’s Eve party is scheduled at Edwin’s Too, featuring a performance by Cleveland jazz musicians Dominick Farinacci, Evelyn Wright, Ernie Krivda, Joe Hunter, Bryan Thomas and Ray Porrello, Jr. Chrostowski said that he and Farinacci are both excited about the show, looking forward to a big crowd on the big day.
