According to a report, the must-have iPhone upgrade for Whatsapp is here soon
But it means that the people with more than one device will have greater freedom. Right now, though you can use WhatsApp through a browser and a desktop app, iPad users are overlooked.
And all the current solutions require the other devices to mirror the smartphone. The next iteration will work without the need for the smartphone to be active at the same time. There’s a lot changing at WhatsApp at the moment, with the addition of transferring chats between iPhone and Android devices, for instance.
For those in the WhatsApp beta program, currently closed to new members, these features will land there first. But for the rest of us, the question of when still isn’t answered, and if WhatsApp’s behavior in the past is any indication, it may still be a little while yet.
