.PressSec would not say if POTUS is considering a pardon for Donald Trump, 'similar to [former President Gerald] Ford's pardon of [former President Richard] Nixon.' 'I'm not going to get into any of that,' Jean-Pierre said.

White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre would not say if President Joe Biden is considering a pardon for former President Donald Trump,"similar to [former President Gerald] Ford's pardon of [former President Richard] Nixon."

The White House has repeatedly declined to comment on Trump's indictment in Manhattan and his Tuesday arraignment, yet Jean-Pierre still faced a number of questions on the topic at Tuesday's White House press briefing. The press secretary was asked Tuesday if there are"any circumstances under which President Biden would consider a pardon for former President Trump," but she responded by stating she would not"get into hypotheticals.

"I'm not going to get into any of that. All I can tell you is that we do not comment from here on any ongoing cases, anything that's related to any of those cases," she continued."I understand your question. I really do. I'm just not going to comment from here." Biden himself has refrained from weighing in on Trump's indictment, in keeping with the White House's position.

"He's boxed in," one Trump official told the Washington Examiner of Biden's situation."He either leans into locking Don up to appease the ["Trump derangement syndrome"] crowd and reveal how crooked this whole witch hunt is, or he tries to stay out of the mud and just keep quiet."You can watch Tuesday's briefing in full below.

A stone-faced Trump entered the courtroom shortly before 2:30 p.m. without saying anything.
